Khanna Bhai, played by Dancing Rose Shabeer, is a powerful drug leader in Kotha town. C.I. Shahul Haasan, portrayed by Prasanna, wants to stop the drug trade but faces challenges. Shahul discovers that Kotha was once ruled by Raju, played by Dulquer Salmaan, and Khanna Bhai was his close friend. However, Raju and Khanna Bhai later go their separate ways due to some reasons. Technical Aspects:
- Casting: Dulquer Salmaan shines throughout as Raju, the character he brings to life effortlessly. He skillfully portrays a role that’s determined to eliminate the drug trade. His action scenes are well-executed, Dancing Rose, also known as Shabeer Kallarakkal, convincingly plays a gangster. He has a substantial role and performs with finesse. Chemban Vinod’s English accent adds humor and generates decent laughter.
- Direction: Abhilash Joishy put in effort, but the movie didn’t succeed. The story being usual, he could’ve made it more engaging, but that didn’t occur. It would’ve been better if the director handled the long runtime.
- Music: The background score created by Jakes Bejoy turns out to be a hidden gem in this movie, While the songs composed by Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman are decent, it’s Jakes Bejoy’s background score that truly stands out.
- Cinematography: Nimish Ravi’s cinematography is outstanding. The production values are good.
- Editor: Much of the time, the story moves very slowly, and watching the whole film demands a lot of patience. The editing team’s work wasn’t great, as many long scenes could have been shortened. Handling the lengthy runtime could have been better.
- Art: The film takes place in the past, and the team responsible for art direction did a commendable job in bringing that era to life.
