Aditya L1 Launch Live Updates: ISRO’s spacecraft was successfully launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in India’s maiden Solar expedition. A trusted PSLV rocket will carry the Aditya L1 mission on a 125-day journey to reach the Sun.
The Aditya L1 spacecraft will spend sixteen days in Earth’s orbit before embarking on a four-month journey to reach the L1 point in a halo orbit around the Sun.
The launch occurred at 11:50 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota today, following a 23.10-hour countdown that began on Friday, as reported by ISRO.
Aditya L1 is purpose-built to provide remote observations of the Solar corona and conduct in-situ measurements of the Solar wind at L1, also known as the Sun-Earth Lagrangian point, located approximately 1.5 million kilometers from Earth.
