🎬🌟 Skanda Review: Worth Watching Once πŸŽ₯🎨

Skanda is the first time Energetic Star Ram Pothineni and director Boyapati Sreenu have worked together. The movie created a lot of excitement before it came out in theaters today. Read our review to find out what the movie is like.

Story Glimpse:

In the story, the son of Telangana’s CM Ranjith Reddy (played by Sharath Lohitashwa) runs away with the daughter of Andhra Pradesh’s CM Rayudu (played by Ajay Purkar), causing a lot of anger. Rayudu wants to take revenge, but everything changes when Bhaskar Raju (played by Ram Pothineni) enters the picture.

Technical Aspects:
  • Casting: Ram Pothineni’s remarkable transformation for this film deserves special mention. His powerful portrayal, particularly in action sequences where he takes on the enemies, is truly extraordinary. In addition to his commanding presence, his impeccable dialogue delivery enhances the impact of the scenes.
    • Sreeleela, while not as impressive as the leading lady, demonstrates her talents, captivating the audience with her stunning beauty and dancing skills.
    • Srikanth shines in his substantial role, and even with limited screen time, the entire narrative centers around his character. Daggubati Raju also delivers a commendable performance.
  • Direction: Boyapati Sreenu makes a comeback with a high-energy entertainer that emphasizes action over emotion. While the film doesn’t bring much innovation to the storyline, it suggests an area where Boyapati Sreenu might consider exploring further.
  • Music: Thaman’s background score, particularly in the first half, is filled with energy and elevates numerous scenes. His exceptional musical composition deserves recognition for its positive impact on the movie.
  • Cinematography: Santosh Detake’s cinematography shines, particularly in the action sequences, showcasing top-notch visuals. The film’s production values also earn praise for their commendable quality.
  • Editor: The editing is decent, although there’s room for improvement, particularly in the second half where some unnecessary scenes could have been trimmed to enhance the pacing.
  • Other Departments: M. Ratnam’s dialogues are satisfactory and manage to evoke excitement on certain occasions. The action department excels in crafting impactful dialogues that send shivers down the audience’s spine and choreographing high-energy fight sequences that elicit enthusiastic cheers from fans.
Highlights:
  • Ram Pothineni’s Transformation: Ram Pothineni’s impressive transformation for this film, especially in his action sequences, is a standout feature. His portrayal in “beast mode” adds an extraordinary dimension to the movie.
  • Outstanding Dialogue Delivery: Ram Pothineni’s wonderful dialogue delivery adds weight to the scenes, enhancing the overall impact.
  • Thaman’s Exceptional Score: Thaman’s outstanding background score, particularly in the first half, elevates many scenes, providing an energetic atmosphere.
  • Cinematography Excellence: Santosh Detake’s top-notch cinematography, especially in the fight sequences, delivers visually striking moments.
  • Commendable Production Values: The film’s production values are praiseworthy, reflecting a high-quality production.
Downsides:
  • Illogical Action Sequences: The film follows the trend of Boyapati Sreenu’s recent movies with action scenes that defy logic. While enjoyable, there are moments when the audience might question their plausibility.
  • Lack of Innovation in the Story: The storyline offers little that is new, and Boyapati Sreenu could explore more innovative storytelling.
  • Plot Engagement: While Boyapati Sreenu excels in crafting mass dialogues and fight sequences, more focus on an engaging plot is needed.
  • Song Placement: The placement of songs is not ideal, with only a couple of them leaving a lasting impression.

Final Verdict: β€œSpectacular Action, Simple Plotβ€œ
