Government representatives inspected the #HyderabadCyclingTrack today, which is nearing its completion. The track is in its final stages, with only a few tasks remaining such as track coloring, lighting installation, grid synchronization, and ensuring safety signages, particularly at crossings. These remaining tasks are anticipated to be finished within the next two weeks. Excitingly, the track is set to be inaugurated in the first week of September, inviting cycling enthusiasts to gear up for a thrilling ride!
The ongoing installation of lighting is geared towards creating a cozy ambiance for cycling during the nighttime. Moreover, kilometer signages will be strategically placed along the route, guaranteeing a seamless and delightful cycling journey for all.
Cycling Track Routes:
The track will stretch for 8 km from Nanakramguda to Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA) and 13 km from Narsingi to Kollur. The 4.5-metre cycle track to be taken up by Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a wing of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), when ready can accommodate three cycle lanes and have one metre green space on either side.
The track will come with several facilities for cyclists including parking spaces, surveillance cameras, bicycle docking and rental station, food courts, drinking water, restrooms and basic bicycle repair shops.
